The Courage Campaign made this video to convince the California State Supreme Court to invalidate Proposition 8. (If you don't watch it for any other reason, watch it for the Regina Spektor song. Yeah.)
Watching this made me cry. Maybe it's the wedding photos, or the loving looks on the couples' faces, or the pictures of the kids. Maybe it's just that I'm continually amazed that in 2009 so many people don't recognize a Civil Rights issue when they see one. In the end, this fight will be won. I believe this. It will be won because it is about love. I'm just frustrated wondering how much time it might take and how many people will suffer while we're fighting for love to win.

Rumor has it, it's the most popular coming out day of the year. But I can't check the veracity of this because last week I discovered that "gay and lesbian content" is blocked by the school's internet censor. Apparently it's placed in the same vein as pornography, myspace and other things that teens are meant to avoid (at least during school hours). I find this idea more than a little offensive.
